Product care

Care – Veritable Crystalware

  1. Washing

  • We recommend washing crystals by hand, using warm water with a tiny bit of washing-up liquid.
  • Wiping with a dry, soft cloth will enhance the shining effect.
  • Crystals will lose their clarity and sparkling properties over time if washed in the dishwasher.
  • Crystallite (lead-free crystals) can be washed in a dishwasher, however, their properties can also deteriorate over years, therefore we recommend washing them by hand.

 2. Preventing damage

  • Avoid contact with sharp objects that could scratch the surface.
  • Do not pour very hot liquids.
  • Do not use strong detergents.

 Care - Veritable Tables

 1. Cleaning

  • Out tables are finished with matt varnish to prevent staining and to preserve their natural texture and grain.
  • The table can be wiped using a damp kitchen cloth, with a bit of mild washing-up liquid.
  • Cleaning sprays, designed for wood finishes can also be used. Check the product label if suitable, before using.
  • Do not use multi-purpose or chemical cleaning products.

 2. Preserving the tabletop

  • The tabletop, which gets used the most, will require preservation of the top finish from time to time. Depending on use, 2 – 3 times a year.
  • Use clear, matt, beeswax-based emulsion for wood finishes.
  • Wipe the table first with a white (colourless) damp cloth.
  • If there are any stains, clean them with a coarse washing sponge or cloth. Avoid scraping.
  • Let the surface dry.
  • Apply a thin layer of the emulsion, using a white cotton cloth, evenly, along the wood grain. Wait for a couple of minutes and wipe the excess with a dry cloth. Let the table dry.
  • Read the product manual before applying.
  • It is recommended to test the product on a less visible part of the table first.

 3. Preventing damage

  • Do not place hot objects on the table. If necessary, use heat pads.
  • Avoid sharp objects that could scratch or dent the surface.
  • We recommend using table cloth or placemats to protect the table from staining.
  • Wipe immediately when stained with coffee, red wine or other staining foods or liquids.
  • Our tables are designed for indoor use, to be used in room temperature and at normal humidity. Do not place them outdoors, or in too hot, too cold, too humid or dry environments. The boards may bend and cracks may open if the table is exposed to changing environments; hot - cold, humid – dry.
  • Avoid permanent exposure to direct sunlight. The oak, as a natural material, may change colour in the area were exposed to sunlight.
  • Do not use the table for purposes other than dining.
